You know, coming from the Jalopnik side of the force, I always considered Kotaku to be a pretty slick place. Videogames aren't such a big part of my life anymore (blame the prices and everything), but most of the articles are still a fun read. As long as you stay away from the comments, that is, because, holy shit, are they not cool headed at all.

But I guess that's what you get when you don't have the rules of Oppo.

Yeah, I was expecting that already, but it's the tangential questioning to whatever gets posted that's really weird to me.

Like how when one guy posts his opinions about game X and the replies go on and on about political system Y. Makes a guy wonder.

I've noticed Call of Duty is to Kotaku as the automatic gearbox is to Jalopnik.

There's nothing inherently wrong with either, but people bash on both for Internet cred. And that's too bad.

It's just a freakin' game. Like, I don't enjoy JRPGs or many indie games, but I don't bash them every chance I get.

It's the gamer equivalent of being overly masculine.

People hate it because it's the same game over and over every year, ever since Modern Warfare took a dump.

I'm not a fan of the game either. I played MW3 for 15 minutes, and it left me with headache, it just feels too cheesy and cliched as well. It always goes as a "USA needs to stop Russians from destroying the world" kind of thing.
